Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Ipswich

A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle crash at Ipswich yesterday afternoon.

Early investigations suggest around 12.30pm, a Grand Cherokee intended to turn from Ellenborough Street into Limestone Street when it struck a motorcyclist travelling through intersection.

Members of the public rendered first aid to the 79-year-old local man before he was transported to hospital where he later died.

The 47-year-old woman driving the Grand Cherokee was not physically injured.

The circumstances of the crash are being investigated by the Forensic Crash Unit and anyone with dashcam vision is asked to come forward.
