The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the death of a motorcyclist in a two vehicle traffic crash at Avondale this afternoon.
Investigations indicate, at about 1.00pm, a motorcycle and a white van collided at the intersection of Rosedale Road and Smiths Crossing Road, Avondale.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 66-year-old Avondale man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is asking for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone with dash-cam footage of either vehicle prior to the incident, to contact police.
