A 23-year-old man has died following a traffic crash at Ayr overnight.
Just after midnight, police and emergency services were called to a single vehicle crash on Beach Road near Lilliesmere Court.
Initial investigations indicate a Kia Cerato has left the road and crashed into a powerpole on the opposite side of the road.
The 23-year-old driver and sole occupant of the car died at the scene.
Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
