Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Cedar Creek 9 November

A woman has died, and four others have been seriously injured, in a two-vehicle crash at Cedar Creek this evening.

At about 6:20pm, a brown four-wheel drive and a silver-coloured four-wheel drive collided on Plunkett Road while traveling in opposite directions.

The driver of the silver-coloured vehicle, a 47-year-old Yatala woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 46-year-old Yatala man, a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, the other occupants of the vehicle, were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital respectively.

All are in serious condition.

The driver of the brown vehicle, a 44-year-old Yarrabilba man, was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and asking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or has dash-cam footage of either vehicle, to contact police.
