The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred this morning on the Pacific Motorway at Gaven, near Gold Coast.
Initial investigations indicate around 6am today a truck travelling northbound on the M1 crashed into centre barriers before coming to rest.
The male driver of the truck died at the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-camera footage, to contact them.
Investigations are ongoing.
