A 67-year-old Emerald man has passed away following a traffic crash involving two road trains on the Carnarvon Highway overnight.
At around 10.15pm, the two vehicles were travelling in the opposite direction when they collided new Gunnewin (nearly 80km north of Roma).
The Emerald man, who had been travelling north, died as a result of his injuries and the other driver did not suffer injury.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
