Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Mooloolah Valley 7 October

A man has died following a traffic crash on the Sunshine Coast this morning.

Around 6.30am the motorcyclist was riding east along Connection Road in the Mooloolah Valley.

Preliminary investigations suggest he attempted to pass a Toyota Hilux which was turning right into a property and hit the back of the utility.

The 63-year-old Mooloolah Valley man was declared deceased at the scene.

Diversions were put in place for a short amount of time and has since reopened.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
