Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash which has occurred at Rothwell this afternoon.
Initial inquiries suggest a car travelling along Anzac Avenue lost control and struck a power pole near Wattle Road just before 4pm.
The front passenger of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Four other occupants of the car, all juveniles, were transported to hospital, two with critical injuries.
Motorists travelling in the Rothwell area are advised to avoid this section of Anzac avenue as there are significant delays with emergency services still on scene.
