The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating after a man has died following a multi-vehicle traffic crash at Stuart this morning, 28 September.
Initial investigations indicate about 6am, a white Hyundai i30 and a white Mazda B2500 utility have slowed down on the Bruce Highway near South Port Road due to livestock when a Kawasaki motorbike has clipped the Hyundai and rear-ended the Mazda.
The motorbike rider, a 44-year-old Alice River man was transported to Townville University Hospital with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
No one else was physically injured.
Investigations are ongoing.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have dashcam vision or information leading up to the crash to come forward.
