Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Wide Bay

A man has died as a result of a two-vehicle traffic crash at Three Moon, south of Monto, on Wednesday, 8 July.

At 8.20am, the 66-year-old Three Moon man was driving a blue Great Wall utility southbound on the Burnett Highway when he collided with the rear of a white Toyota Hilux waiting to turn right into Saleyards Road.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the Great Wall, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the Hilux, a 66-year-old Monto man, was not injured.
