Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Yeppoon 25 June

A man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Iverness on Monday, 15 June.

Emergency services were called to Limestone Creek Road around 4.30pm, following reports of a crash involving a Toyota Landcruiser and Holden Cruze.

Initial investigations indicate the Holden was turning into a private property from the road when it was struck from behind by the Toyota.

An 82-year-old Iverness man, the passenger in the Holden, sustained critical head injuries.

He was transported to Yeppoon hospital in a serious condition, however passed away as a result of his injuries early this morning, 25 June.

The driver of the Holden, a 67-year-old Iverness man was physically uninjured.

The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota, a 45-year-old Adelaide Park man, was uninjured and is assisting police with their investigation.

Anyone with information that could assist police, including anyone with relevant dashcam vision of the vehicles, is urged to contact police.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations remain ongoing.
