Police responding to serious traffic crash at Booral

A woman has sustained critical injuries following a two vehicle traffic crash at Booral this afternoon, Tuesday July 5.

Initial investigations indicate around 3.50pm a white 2003 Mitsubishi lancer was travelling north along River Heads Road, when it approached the t-intersection of Booral Road where a collision has occurred with a silver 2012 Toyota Hilux travelling west.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 44-year-old Torquay woman sustained critical injuries, with two occupants from the same vehicle suffering minor injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota, a 25-year-old Maryborough man was not physically injured.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
