Police Responding To Serious Traffic Crash At Capalaba 6 March

Police are appealing for public assistance following a serious traffic crash that occurred in Capalaba this afternoon, March 6.

Initial information indicates shortly before 3pm, a white transit van struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Moreton Bay Road and Redland Bay Road.

The pedestrian, a 12-year-old Alexandra Hills boy, sustained serious injuries and has been transported to the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

The driver of the van, a 54-year-old woman, was not physically injured and is assisting police with inquiries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV from the nearby area to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
