Police responding to serious traffic crash at Loganholme

Police are seeking public assistance after a serious traffic crash that occurred this yesterday morning Loganholme.

Initial investigations suggest that a ute was driving south on the Pacific Motorway at Loganholme at 810am when it was struck from behind by a B-Double truck which caused it to crash into a barrier.

The truck stopped but the driver then left the scene before providing his details.

A passenger in the ute, a 62-year-old woman, was transported to hospital for treatment of a number of internal injuries.

The other occupants of the ute didn’t sustain any injures.

Police are appealing for anyone that was travelling in the area at the time and may have dashcam to contact them.

Investigators are also appealing for the driver of the truck to make contact.

The truck is described as a red Kenworth B Double and was towing two trailers.

Investigations are continuing.
