Police responding to serious traffic crash at Marsden

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a pedestrian was struck and seriously injured in a crash at Marsden this evening (December 22).

At around 7:15pm an 18-year-old Crestmead woman was struck by a vehicle on Browns Plains Road near Third Avenue.

The driver of the car stopped and rendered assistance and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the woman walking on Browns Plains Road, particularly two cars that passed her while she may have been on the road itself, to contact them.

Investigators are also appealing for anyone who may have relevant dashcam from the area at the time, to contact them.

The woman has been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
