Police responding to serious traffic crash at Mons

A woman has suffered life threatening injuries following a crash on the Sunshine Coast during the early hours of this morning.

Initial inquiries indicate around 4am the vehicle she was a passenger in hit a pole on Vise Road in Mons.

CPR was commenced on the 19-year-old woman at the scene.

She and the 23-year-old woman driver of the Holden Astra were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.

The driver has non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with vision or further information is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
