Police responding to serious traffic crash at Swanbank

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious traffic crash at Swanbank yesterday evening, December 14.

Initial investigations indicate that around 5:30pm, a 2001 BMW 530I and a 2005 Ford Falcon were both travelling along Swanbank Coal Road before they collided.

The driver of the Ford, a 17-year-old Yamanto girl, was transported in a serious condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The single passenger of the Ford, a 18-year-old Yamanto man, was transported in a critical condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The occupants of the BMW, a 20-year-old male driver and a 20-year-old male passenger, were both transported to Ipswich Hospital in stable conditions.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have relevant dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
