Police responding to traffic crash at Maranoa area

Police are investigating a two vehicle traffic crash in Jackson North yesterday afternoon in which an elderly passenger was critically injured.

Preliminary investigations indicate a 4WD was headed west on the Warrego Highway at 12.35pm when it has has collided with another vehicle.

A passenger in the 4WD, an 81-year-old Maryborough woman, was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
