Police responding to traffic incident at Carbrook

Detectives investigating a traffic incident resulting in a man sustaining life threatening injuries at Carbrook this morning are appealing for information to assist with their inquiries.

Initial information suggests around 3.30am the 18-year-old man was located unresponsive on the side of Kruger Road with significant head and facial injuries. He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

A silver Camry sedan and a red Commodore were located nearby. Both have been seized by police.

Five men also found nearby have been arrested and are assisting investigators.

The Forensic Crash Unit and detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing inquiries into the incident.

Investigators are particularly interested in motorists with dash camera footage who may have witnessed these vehicles travelling southbound on the M1 from Brisbane or on Beenleigh Redland Bay Road prior to 3.30am.
