Police search after man drowns and another disappears in Wilberforce

Police have appealed for anyone using boats along the Hawkesbury River at Wilberforce to be cautious as they search for a missing man.

About 10.30am today (Sunday 17 February 2019) emergency services were alerted to an incident after two men are believed to have fallen from a jetski.

The men were on a section of the river near Percys Place Ski Gardens on Burdekin Road when both have fallen into the water.

A 50-year-old man is still missing.

A younger man was recovered from the water and Ambulance Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him.

Sadly, they were unsuccessful.

Police from Hawkesbury Police Area Command have attended

A search of the area has commenced, and police have urged anyone using that section of the river to approach with caution, as NSWP divers will be in the area.

Police investigations into the incident continue.
