Police search for boozy thieves

Fawkner police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man and woman after alcohol was stolen from stores in Brunswick East and Coburg on 29 February.

Police have been told the duo entered a store on Louisa Street in Coburg about 12.20pm and stole three bottles of bourbon and a bottle of Vodka.

The pair then entered a store on Lygon Street in Brunswick East and stole two bottles of whiskey, a bottle of tequila and a bottle of Vodka just before 1pm.

It is believed the offenders are both aged 40 and perceived to be Caucasian in appearance.

The man was wearing a cap, blue t-shirt, blue tracksuit pants, white runners and carrying two motorbike helmets.

The woman was wearing a black t-shirt with a white Fila logo on front, grey jeans and white runners.

Investigators have released images of a man and woman that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
