Police search for driver after Glen Waverley hit-run

Nunawading Highway Patrol members are investigating a hit-run collision in Glen Waverley on Sunday afternoon.

A silver 2-door coupe was travelling south along Springvale Road about 2.40pm on 18 October.

The coupe did a burnout and drove into oncoming traffic, hitting another vehicle.

The offending driver then drove off and was last seen travelling along Booran Avenue in Glen Waverley.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 65-year-old man from Forest Hill, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are searching for the driver of the coupe, believed to be a Honda Prelude or similar, that sustained damage during the collision to the rear right-side panel.

Investigators have released images of the vehicle and a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
