Police search for Joshua Hocking after Whittington fatal stabbing

Homicide Squad detectives are searching for Joshua Hocking following the death of a man in Whittington yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a property on Planet Court about 3pm after reports a man had been stabbed.

A 47-year-old Whittington man was located with serious injuries and was transported to hospital where he later died.

A 17-year-old male who was also home at the time was not injured.

It is believed Hocking, aged 35 from Connewarra, left the address in a purple Ford sedan which has since been located by police, however he is yet to be located.

It is believed the parties were known to each other.

Police are continuing to search for Joshua Hocking following the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Detectives have today released an image of Hocking in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information about his current whereabouts.

Anyone who sights Hocking is asked not to approach him and to contact triple zero (000) immediately.
