Police search for man who performed explicit sexual act in Montmorency

Mernda Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for public assistance after a man performed an explicit sexual act towards two women in Montmorency last month.

Investigators have been told a 49-year-old woman was walking on Glengarriff Crescent on Monday, 4 October about 6pm when she noticed a man following her while performing an explicit sexual act.

The woman ran away and sought assistance from a nearby woman and they walked together along Wattle Avenue. The man followed the women and occasionally obscured himself behind bushes as he continued performing the explicit sexual act.

The man left the scene and was last seen near Baldwin Avenue.

Detectives have today released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged 25-30 years, with a slim build and light-coloured hair.

He was wearing a grey t-shirt, blue shorts and black shoes. He has a tattoo on his right forearm depicting three stripes.
