Police search for weapons used in Para Vista murder, South Australia

Major Crime detectives and STAR Group officers will be searching an area near the South Eastern Freeway today, as the investigation continues into the murder of a 46-year-old man at a Para Vista house in October.

Four men and a woman have been arrested and charged during the investigation, after the victim was killed at a property on Carousel Street, Para Vista between midnight and 1am on Tuesday 9 October, with his body discovered when police went to the address on Friday, 12 October.

It will be alleged that a cannabis crop was stolen from the address, and was later seen being transferred from the victim’s car into a white Commodore and another dark coloured car.

The investigation, which has included property searches and interviews both in South Australia and interstate, is continuing.

A search is being conducted today (Sunday 23 December) to locate a weapon and other items suspected of being used in the murder.

Police will be concentrating on a section of the South Eastern Freeway between Old Mount Barker Road and Carey Gully Road.
