Police searching for vehicle after hit-run with patrol car, South Australia

Police are searching for a vehicle that crashed into a police patrol car late last night.

Just before midnight on Saturday 26 January Police were conducting a random breath test station on Tapleys Hill Road when a red Holden Commodore sedan SA registration S945BVL attempted to avoid the station by turning into Buckle Street.

A marked police car and an unmarked police car followed and located the car in the no through road performing a u turn. Police approached the car and opened the passenger door.

The Holden accelerated and collided into the front of the unmarked car causing damage to the front bumper and wheel. The Holden narrowly missed a cameraman who was there filming for the ‘RBT’ television series.

The vehicle left the scene heading south on Tapley’s Hill Road. No one was injured as a result of the crash.
