Police seek help to locate man after sexual assaults in Melbourne

Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) detectives are investigating following two incidents of a man sexually assaulting two woman and a girl in the Melbourne CBD on Thursday 15 October.

In the first incident, a man approached a 16-year-old girl on Wills Street around 5.30pm and grabbed her on the buttocks and genital region over her clothes.

The man asked the girl how old she was and then told her he didn’t care how old she was.

The girl approached a nearby man and the offender fled west along Latrobe Street.

Later that night at about 9pm, the man followed two 20-year-old woman through a shopping Centre on Latrobe Street.

The man again approached the two women from behind and grabbed them both on the buttocks at the same time.

The woman turned around and the man appeared to be trying to open his fly before fleeing towards Little Latrobe Street.

Police have released CCTV and images of a man they believe can assist them with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, with brown hair and thick eyebrows.

He was wearing an industrial style blue and white mask, a light-coloured tee shirt, a dark coloured vest, dark tracksuit pants and blue runners with orange laces.
