Police Seek Information After Assault At Springwood

Police are appealing for public assistance following an assault on a bus in the Blue Mountains earlier this year.

Around 10.30pm on Saturday 15 June 2026, officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command responded to an alleged assault at Springwood Railway Station.

Officers were told a 16-year-old boy was headbutted on a Sydney Trains rail replacement bus between Lawson and Springwood by an unknown man.

The boy sustained minor injuries however did not require medical treatment.

Officers attached to North West Police Transport Command commenced an investigation and have released an image of a man who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, about 180cm tall, medium build, short dark hair, wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.
