Police seek information after Balaclava sexual assault

Bayside Sexual Offence and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for information following a sexual assault in Balaclava last month.

Police have been told a boy was walking along Carlisle Street when a man walking in the opposite direction sexually assaulted him on Friday 4 February about 3.45pm.

It appears the man leaned over as he passed the child and touched him in the vicinity of his groin.

Detectives have released images and CCTV of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be aged in his 40s or 50s and was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and cross body bag.
