Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate after human remains were located in Kiata.
A passerby located human remains on the Western Highway just after 8am on 4 April.
The deceased is yet to be formally identified at this stage but is believed to be female.
The cause of death is also yet to be determined but is being treated as a possible hit-run at this stage.
It’s believed she may have been struck by a truck or heavy vehicle sometime between 9pm on Thursday 3 April and 2am on Friday 4 April.
