Police seek information after man located with critical injuries in Kanwal

Police are appealing for information from the community after a man was located with critical injuries on the Central Coast yesterday.

Last night (Saturday 30 October 2021), officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District were notified by Wyong Hospital that a 77-year-old man was in a critical condition after having been conveyed from Edna Avenue, Kanwal.

Police have been told NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to the location about 8.30pm after the man was found on the roadway suffering severe injuries to his head and body.

He has since been airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Detectives established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police.

An investigation into how the man came to be injured is underway and anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam vision from the surrounding area are urged to come forward.

Further, police would like to speak with the people who located the man and called for assistance.
