Police seek information after two men robbed at Doonside

Police are appealing for public assistance following two robberies at a park in Sydney’s west.

About 4.30pm on Sunday (24 September 2023), a 31-year-old man was walking in a reserve on Knox Road, Doonside, when another man punched him in the face and stole his mobile phone, car keys and Kia Sportage SUV.

The 31-year-old man was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

About 3.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 26 September 2023), emergency services were called to the same reserve after reports a 42-year-old man had been assaulted while walking through the reserve.

The 42-year-old man had his mobile phone, watch, necklace, car keys, and Toyota Corolla hatchback stolen.

Both incidents were reported to officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command, who commenced an investigation into the incidents.

As inquiries continue, police wish to speak with two men who may be able to assist with the investigation.

One man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 180cm tall, and of medium build.

The second man is described as being of South American appearance and aged in his mid-20s.
