Police seek information: Assault investigation in Fortitude Valley, QLD

Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to an investigation into the assault of two women in Fortitude Valley earlier this month.

Around 2.30pm on Saturday December 3, a man grabbed a woman from behind at the intersection of St Pauls Terrace and Gibbs Street and attempted to drag her away.

The woman managed to get free and sought assistance from a member of the public. She sustained minor physical injuries in the incident.

A short time later, at 2.45am, the same man grabbed a second woman from behind on the corner of St Pauls Terrace and Gotha Street, causing her to fall to the ground and hit her head.

A struggle ensued and the woman broke free and fled the scene. She sustained minor physical injuries as a result.

It is alleged the same male has been witnessed approaching multiple other women and touching them indecently.

Police have released the below CCTV vision of a man of who may be of assistance in relation to both incidents.

The man is described as 170 centimetres tall, with dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

He was observed wearing a gold track suit with a black cap and white sneakers and was also carrying a black backpack.
