Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify two men who could assist with investigations into an attempted armed robbery in South Brisbane in February.
Around 5.30am on Monday 14 February a 59-year-old man was walking his dog along the waterfront at Southbank Parklands near the Victoria Bridge when two men approached him demanding he empty his pockets, with one man revealing a large knife concealed under his shirt.
The man refused and broke away from the men, raising the alarm.
The man and his dog were not physically harmed.
The two men, aged in their twenties fled on foot.
One man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall with a slim build and dark short hair with prominent hand tattoos, the other is described as Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 170cm tall with a slim build and short black hair with a leg tattoo.
Businesses, motorists and residents are asked to check dashcam and CCTV for the men.
Investigators are also appealing to anyone who may know the men to come forward, anonymous reports can be made.
