Police seek information: Hit and run traffic crash in Greenslopes, QLD

Police investigating a hit and run traffic crash in Greenslopes in January which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries are appealing for public assistance to identify the driver and vehicle involved.

Initial investigations indicate around 11pm on January 19, a white hatchback was driving dangerously in a westbound direction along Cornwall Street, before a collision occurred with a 30-year-old Greenslopes man pushing a blue Honda motorcycle on the edge of the road.

The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist down the road, causing a significant injury to his leg.

The driver of the white hatchback stopped approximately 30 metres from the collision near a unit complex, before fleeing the scene at speed and turning left onto Logan Road and travelling further south.

Investigators believe the vehicle would have sustained significant front end damage and appeal to the driver, or anyone with further information to come forward.

Anonymous reports can be made.

Police also appeal to witnesses, especially those with relevant dashcam or CCTV to make contact.
