Police seek information on Aggravated assault in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an alleged aggravated assault that occurred earlier today.

At 12:50pm, the 18-year-old female victim was on Goyder Street when two offenders approached her in an attempt to allegedly steal her handbag. The victim was then allegedly assaulted before the offenders fled towards Mueller Street.

The 18-year-old female later presented at Alice Springs police station to report the offence.

One offender is described as being male, of aboriginal appearance, tall, wearing black sneakers with white soles, red basketball shorts, with a distinctive scar on his left calf.

The second offender is described as being female, of aboriginal appearance, wearing black sneakers, black and white football shorts, dark brown hair with parts dyed yellowish, and wearing a medical admission band on the right hand.

Both offenders are believed to be approximately 17-year-old.
