Police seek information on Hit and run – Palmerston 19 October

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after a hit and run in Palmerston overnight.

At 12am, police received a report that a 28-year-old man had been struck by a vehicle on Elrundie Avenue, Palmerston.

The man was allegedly walking down the middle of the road when he was struck by a light coloured Holden Commodore. The vehicle allegedly did not stop at the scene.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries, including extensive bruising and fractures and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital.

The Serious Crime Squad are investigating the incident.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day said “NT Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly if you have dash-cam footage, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10488784.

“You can also anonymously contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
