Police seek information on Serious crash – Coolalinga

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a serious crash that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 3:45pm, a red Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling west along Girraween Road and a silver Ford Ranger utility was travelling east.

As both vehicles approached the intersection of Edelsten Road, the Lancer spun and travelled into the oncoming lane, colliding with the Ranger.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

The 39-year-old female driver of the Lancer and her 40-year-old male partner suffered serious injuries. The 32-year-old female driver of the Ranger received minor injuries in the crash and her infant son, who was properly restrained in a capsule, was uninjured.

Both occupants of the Lancer remain in hospital for treatment.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner said, “We are seeking anyone with information about the incident, or who are familiar with the persons involved and can assist establish their movements prior to the crash.”
