Police seek information on Serious harm – Jabiru

Northern Territory Police are calling for further information after they arrested a man yesterday in relation to a serious incident in Jabiru.

At around 2am yesterday morning, three males were observed entering a caravan park on Jabiru Drive. Two of the males left a short time later.

A 19-year-old male allegedly entered a caravan and assaulted a 30-year-old female before fleeing the scene.

He then allegedly assaulted a 59-year-old female nearby. She required transport to Royal Darwin Hospital.

Jabiru police arrested the male on scene a short time after the incident.

He is still being interviewed and detectives from the Katherine Criminal Investigation Branch expect to lay charges later today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Lawson said, “This incident is still under investigation and we have received multiple reports of thefts from residents in the caravan park. We are asking anyone who saw a white Ford sedan or any suspicious activity in the area to come forward”.
