Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a suspicious person in Parap.
Police received a report stating a young girl was walking home when she was approached by a man in a white van sometime between 2:55pm and 3:15pm on 10 May. The man asked the girl if she needed a lift which resulted in the girl running back to her school and reporting the incident to her teacher.
The man is described as approximately 70-years-old with short white or grey hair and beard. The beard is approximately 15-20 centimetres in length. He was wearing a white t-shirt with small horizontal black lines.
The van is described as white with older style triangular quarter panel windows, rust marks along the door and around wheel arches, with black and grey stain marks along the body.
Police do not believe this incident is linked to any others. Enquiries are continuing.
