Police seek information to identify aggravated burglary offender

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an aggravated burglary in Clayton South.

Investigators were told the incident occurred at a home on Beswick Street about 6.00am on Thursday 9 September.

Police believe a man accessed the victim’s home while they were sleeping by opening an unlocked door and stole shoes and other household items.

It is believed the same person also smashed windows to two vehicles parked on the street before stealing wallets.

Bank cards from the wallets were used at shops on Heatherton Road in Noble Park and Corrigan Road in Keysborough.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and about 180cm tall.

He was wearing red jacket over the top of a black jumper, black tracksuit pants and and a black cap worn backwards.
