Hamilton Police are investigating a report of dangerous driving in Minhamite last week.
It is understood a black Holden Captiva overtook a truck on Penshurst-Warrnambool Road about 3.15pm.
Dashcam footage depicts the Holden swerve on to the opposite side of the road at a fast rate of speed.
Officers were told a Hyundai Getz travelling in the opposite direction had to take evasive action to avoid hitting the Holden.
The Holden continued driving south towards Warrnambool.
Investigators have released images and CCTV of a car and believe the driver may be able to assist with their enquiries.
