Police seek public assistance after sexual assault in Melbourne

Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for assistance from the public following a sexual assault in Melbourne in June.

Investigators have been told a girl was approached by an unknown male who then sexually assaulted her at an entertainment complex on Olympic Boulevard around 10pm on Friday, 10 June.

The man left the scene in an unknown direction and the girl reported the incident to police.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, 175cm tall, 20-30 years old, with a solid build, brown hair, and a dark moustache.

He was wearing a chequered beige and brown jacket/shirt with a white top underneath and black pants at the time of the incident.

Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
