Police seek public assistance after Yallambie assault

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following an assault in Yallambie earlier this year.

Investigators have been told an unknown man assaulted another man in the vicinity of Greensborough Road about 4.30pm on 2 May.

A passer-by separated the men and the offender fled from the scene.

Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any serious injuries.

Despite extensive enquiries investigators have been unable to identify the individual involved and are releasing a CCTV image of a man they believe could assist with their investigation.

He is perceived to be of Asian appearance, with a slim build, aged in his early 20s and was wearing a white t-shirt and dark track pants.

Anyone who recognises the man or could provide information that could assist police with their enquiries is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.auExternal Link
