Police seek two men over break and enter in Bonnyrigg

Police have released images of two men they hope can assist with inquiries after a home invasion at Bonnyrigg in January.

About 1.30pm on Friday 24 January 2020, a 32-year-old man was asleep in the bedroom of his house at Fagan Place, Bonnyrigg when he was awoken by a male armed with a knife standing in the doorway.

The armed man demanded the victim hand over money and other personal items. As the victim walked into the lounge room, he saw a second man, also armed with a knife.

The victims’ 25-year-old partner woke up and was also threatened by the men.

One of the men punched the man a number of times in the head, before he handed over an amount of cash and other personal items including mobile phones and a handbag.

The men ransacked a number of rooms before fleeing the location.

The man contacted police, who established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Fairfield Police Area Command detectives have obtained footage of two men who they believe might be able to assist with their investigation.

Police would like to speak to the men depicted in the images. The first man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, 175cm tall, solid build, with a mid-length black beard. At the time he was wearing a black cap and a black hoodie. The second male is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, 175cm tall, thin build. He was wearing a light grey hoodie and black pants.
