Police seek witnesses after Blackburn North attack

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a stabbing which occurred in Blake Street, Blackburn North yesterday (1 April).

It is believed a 32-year-old man from Knoxfield received stab wounds to his upper body following an altercation with two unknown men about 6.00 am.

Following the attack the two men fled the area in a vehicle, leaving the victim behind in the street.

The victim managed to walk to a nearby restaurant on Springfield Road to seek assistance.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is currently in a stable condition.

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV footage in the hope the two men may be identified.
