Police seek witnesses – Deprivation of liberty – Pinelands

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an incident in Pinelands early yesterday morning.

Around 5am, a 46-year-old man was seated in his vehicle at a service station on the Stuart Highway when two men allegedly armed with edged weapons forced their way into the vehicle. They allegedly forced the driver to take them to the shops in Gray, where the men exited the vehicle and fled the scene.

The two men are described as being of Aboriginal appearance and aged in their 20s. One was approximately 175cm tall with a slim build and bushy hair. He was wearing white denim shorts and a black t-shirt with white horizontal lines at the time. The second offender was shorter and stockier, and was wearing shorts and a blue fishing-style shirt at the time.

Senior Constable Jacob Fowler said, “Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the location and are asking for anyone with information or dash-cam footage from the area between 5:00am and 5:30am to come forward. The vehicle involved is a grey two-door Holden utility with Victorian plates.”
