Police seek witnesses – Property offences – Northern suburbs

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to property offences in Darwin’s northern suburbs overnight.

At around 7:40pm, a man was allegedly assaulted at his residence in Brinkin by two unknown males before his white Hyundai iload was stolen.

At around 7:55pm, the stolen vehicle has allegedly been involved in a robbery at a business on Wulagi Place in Wulagi. An unknown male and female allegedly entered the store and threatened an employee before stealing a quantity of alcohol.

A short time later, police located the stolen vehicle in East Arm. A tyre deflation device was deployed and the vehicle came to stop near the weigh bridge. Two females were arrested nearby while two male suspects fled the scene.

Patrol dog Drax was deployed and a male was arrested a short distance from the vehicle.

Strike Force Trident are expecting to charge the trio later today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, “This incident is still under investigation with police searching for the remaining suspect.

“Police are calling for witnesses in relation to any of these incidents, in particular anyone that may have dash-cam footage of the vehicle or its occupants, to make contact on 131 444.”
