Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a Robbery which occurred on a busy street in Leanyer.
Detectives from the Crime Division are investigating the Robbery, which is believed to have occurred at approximately 6pm on the 24th April 2019 near the intersection of Leanyer Drive and VRD Drive.
A male was walking along Leanyer Drive when he was approached by approximately six to seven youth who demanded cigarettes. One of the youth pulled out a knife and held it against the male’s throat before stealing his wallet and phone. The group of youths ran off in the direction of the Good Sheppard Lutheran School. They are described to be between 12 and 17 years of age and of aboriginal appearance.
Detectives also want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any unusual behaviour in the area of Leanyer Drive and VRD Drive during this time.
