Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after a domestic violence related assault in Palmerston overnight.
Around 10:30pm, police received reports a 28-year-old man had been assaulted with an edged weapon at a location on Victoria Drive by a woman who was known to him.
He suffered serious injuries to his upper chest and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.
The alleged offender fled the scene.
Detectives from the Domestic and Family Violence Unit are investigating and are urging anyone with information, particularly if you witnessed the assault, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10430163.
